East Valley Baseball, has once again been invited to play in a national tournament the last week of July, to be held at the Cooperstown Dreamspark Youth Baseball Complex. Our league's team, the East Valley Eagles, will be participating in one of the best youth baseball tournaments in the country.  One that most kids, my age, only DREAM about. This tournament will be held in Cooperstown, NY, just a few miles from where baseball originated in 1839!  However, the team must be self supported. Our team has plans on spending a lot of time fundraising by selling candy, garage sales, car washes, bake sales and more. But, the total cost of the trip is close to $2,000 per player and the Eagles need help reaching that goal. Since the plane departs towards the end of July, 2010, time is of the essence and I need to ask for help from my family and friends to get the Eagles to Cooperstown. I know that money is tight for everyone in today’s economy. So, anything you can send will be greatly appreciated. You can track their progress on the live webcams they have set up at www.cooperstowndreamspark.com.  Our week is July 24th, 2010.
